This way you can easily share these archives with your team!

Hello, I’m Rachel!

I specialize in live graphic recording, helping teams retain and share ideas through engaging visuals. Making illustrations (either remotely or in-person) grabs the attention of you attendees, impresses the sponsors and partners and delights the clients. This is a fantastic way to strengthen your brand identity during a kick-off. Or connect challenging ideas during a time of transition. Live-Illustration can encourage conversations and an inclusive atmosphere for all.

Typically, after an event that has been Graphic Recorded or Live-Illustrated, you will receive the electronic files within the hour! These will be yours to use for social media, podcasts, online ads, etc. The return on investment (ROI) is worth every penny. (In the event of hard-copy illustration of art boards, these will be handed over at the end of the event).

For business that are eco-friendly this is an awesome option. The remote live-illustration, there is less need for travel by car or airplane. This makes for as small as possible carbon footprint for your conference. There are no surplus waste materials that end up dumped at the end. There are no toxic materials used by the illustrator that could affect your attendees. We believe in a positive impact for all.

Your illustrator is not a distraction since no one sees them (unless you want to show them off at the end)! Your event will wrap up with the final reveal of your live-illustration and the audible surprise of “oooooh” and “aaaaahhhh”!

I’d love to collaborate with you for your next event, workshop, or all-team call to visually capture key insights.

VISUALIZE YOUR MEETINGS WITH LIVE-ILLUSTRATION

What is “Live Event Illustration”?

Live Event Illustrating, Live Graphic Recording, Live Scribing, Live Sketching, Live Drawing, Live Virtual Illustration… they all pretty much mean the same thing. It can best be described as ‘visual thinking’. As someone delivers the details of a discussion, lecture, or conference, your major talking points are turned into a visual format. This allows your audience to see them for themselves.

Why would anybody use Live-Illustration?

It is super simple. This helps your audience retain the facts and figures of your presentation. It also keeps people engaged. Whether it is a seminar or workshop, training session or ‘town hall’ meeting, a lot of work has gone into the program. You want it to have impact. The problem is many people struggle to stay engaged. Some may even come with the intention of not paying attention. They fear it will be ‘boring as usual’. We can change that.

How does Graphic Recording make your event more creative and fun?

And not just fun but a lot more engaging, understandable and memorable. Now that’s the event we all want to attend! A study found that incorporating visuals into presentations “significantly improved audience understanding and information retention”. Live event illustrators play an important role. They translate your talk into visual storytelling. This storytelling can go straight into the brain. It helps to bring those ideas to life.

What do we know about Visual Thinking and our brains?

Visual Thinking! Let’s talk facts and figures. As humans we are very visual creatures. Inherently so. Research shows we process things much faster and retain information longer with images rather than just text. (About 20,000 times faster than just reading! Some research claims as much as 60,000 times faster. Either way, that’s amazing.)

When I have my event what will actually happen with the live illustrator?
The illustrator is live-scribing the keynote address for a major, global cloud-recording company's rebrand launch.

It’s pretty straight forward. As a live event illustrator I will either sit at your event space and live scribe to your overhead screen or I can live scribe to a large hardcopy on display for everyone to look at afterwards. If being done virtually this works a lot like a zoom meeting where I live scribe directly to your main screen for everyone to see. In all cases, you will retain the hard copy or visual slides/PDFs, etc. which you can then distribute, if so desired.
